Game 17 - Battle of Ontario - Sens @ Leafs - Nov 12th, 2011 - 19:00 EST - 5-2 L

Yeah I was debating whether I had time to grab some burgers before the game, then I remembered it is HOF night. Burgers will probably be eaten before the puck drops.

This game won't be starting until 8 I don't think.  However between this and the Remembrance Day ceremonies, these are the ones I don't have a problem with.  Celebrating the Hall-of-Famers of the game is important.

This one actually gets the crowd into it and builds the atmosphere.

I miss Ed Belfour!

the Eddy chants remind me of the epic plays he had against the sens in the playoffs. didn't Nieuwendyk score a hat trick against the sens in a playoff game 7?

man, it's depressing to see Gilmour again, I still aint over his retirement...it reminds me of the good old days :'( can't believe that it's almost been 20 years ago since he was so dominant...it almost makes me feel old

Hoping it would go faster, it is 1:15am overseas
I understand what you mean :P and I have a meeting early in the morning. I'll probably look as if I had a late night out.

Probably my favourite Leafs goalie of my time as a Leafs fan, just ahead of CuJo. Belfour is the only name I've ever had put on my Leafs jersey.

I think though I loved him more for his character - bribing the cop in Dallas (or wherever) and those drunken photos in the kitchen of a frat party when he just arrived in Toronto - as much as for his brilliant goaltending.

Belfour was like "fawk the ceremonies, ima wear my jeans" and "mmm mmm mmm lemme get a little closer to that fine singer there"

That's not character.  Thats class.  He could have gone to better parties, but he thought 'nah, its time to sleaze it up'.

Stop calling the penalty on overt dives on borderline "penalty" plays to begin with.

if the glass man is out for long I would rather have Lombardi on the first line, and Bozak on the 3rd..
