What did Babcock have to say about all this post-game?

Thanks, and thanks TMLF.  No whining from him.

IMO opinion the next 2 games are really important for Matthews.  I'm not sure he has what it takes, yet, to elevate his game in hostile conditions and put the puck in the net.  If he can't dominate in Boston, he sure needs to in T.O.

It seems that Game 3 is the pivotal point in a 7-game series.  Leafs need to get it done on Monday.

Kadri already offered an in person meeting with the league.

He is gonna miss multiple games I suspect.

In-person heading for Kadri.

From the Department of Player Safety:

If the Department of Player Safety determines that any Supplemental Discipline from an infraction will result in five games or less or a fine of more than $5,000, the hearing is conducted by phone.

If the infraction might require a suspension of six games or more, the offending Player is offered the opportunity to an in-person hearing.

So, at least 6 games for Kadri?

That's how I remember the series last year. It's basically let the Bruins do whatever they want. Refs seriously are ridiculous.

As a fan watching that game I get so frustrated so I can't imagine how it feels to be the players. Kadri wants to win and he just snaps because of this bullcrap reffing.

Also, Matthews at 11 million plus? I'm sorry but, dude, show some emotion. I didn't even notice him. Completely invisible.  He better step it up big time for the rest of this series.

This game was lost in the first 5 minutes of the first period. Boston came out swinging and Toronto came out ducking and reaching. They handled the puck like it was a live grenade and this is not a good way to play hockey.
They turned it into a dump and chase game and you're not going to win a dump and chase game against the Bruins. Not the way they were stapling everything to the wall.

As for Kadri, he has to be smarter. I get that he feels he's responding to the Marleau hit, but there are far better ways to do that. His emotions constantly get the better of him. You know why Marchand and Gallagher are so effective? Because they know when to reel it in. Kadri tries to walk the same line but he has no self control. He should be suspended for that play. I'm guessing 3 games again. If so, he has let down his team again. That's two playoffs in a row. That's unacceptable IMO.

I have to watch the knee on knee again, but Kadri jumped, and we all know that jumping when someone is trying to hit you is never a good move. Especially not on those open ice hits.

Kadri is done for the series.  He?s getting an in person hearing and that?s going to be 5+ games.  Screw the NHL and their arbitrary punishments

Honestly I don?t even mind it.  Kadri was dumb enough to cross check a guy in the head but if this was DeBrusk getting this call I doubt he gets 5+.  Maybe if the refs did their job and didn?t let guys run around all game this play wouldn?t have happened.  It?s still all on Kadri but with all the crap pulled in this series so far Boston has more power plays than Toronto.

The refs let the game get out of hand.  They need to take some responsibility.  So, without ever admitting that of course, I think the league will let up a bit.  My guess is that Kadri's suspension will be shorter than it might be otherwise.  I'll guess 2 games.

I don't think the league gives one whit and I don't see Kadri getting anything less than 5.

You could be right, of course.  I might be indulging in a wishful lust for co-justice and responsibility.

Of course DeBrusk wouldn't get 5 games; he hasn't been suspended multiple times like Kadri has.

DeBrusk is also the son of a hockey player and much whiter than Kadri.
