11 of Pittsburgh's 14 remaining games against teams trailing the Leafs, and we don't play them - Go Pens Go

That's good news, i'll be routing for any team that plays a team below the Leafs now.

Actually 1 of those is against Ottawa - but it remains Go Pens Go for that, too.

Just listened to an interview on the FAN with the owner of the Flames and he said that it was pretty much Iginla who decided that he would go to the Pens rather than the Bruins. They apparently didn't have Iginla sign anything after giving his list of teams, which would have allowed them to take the best available offer. That sounds pretty incredible to me, but this isn't the first time even this season that the Flames have done something that a lot of people have questioned.

Doesn't that assume the Flames have a ton of leverage they don't actually have? If you go to Iginla and ask him for a list of teams and to put it in writing what's the possible reason Iginla would say yes? And if he says no, what are you going to do? Not try and trade him and miss out on a 1st rounder and prospects out of spite?

That sort of strikes me like people asking Burke "Why didn't you protect the Kessel picks" when he almost certainly would have if he could.

@MurphysLaw74

With Matt Bartkowski now signed to a 1-way contract & if he stays in Boston for next year there will be an odd man out on Bruins D. #21

@MurphysLaw74

Matt Bartkowski confirmed his one-way contract was requested by Calgary as part of proposed Iginla trade

Oh that Feaster.

EDIT: Apparently Bartkowski misunderstood question

@MurphysLaw74 16m

According to other reporters after I left Bartkowski scrum after practice he was asked again about who requested 1-way deal & said Boston.

Moving on.
