Leafs 2013/2014 Schedule in 10 game chunks

Canucks still had 44 shots against Montreal.  Hopefully the team comes out ready because that could easily happen Saturday.

Hopefully Canuck players are already sick of Tortorella and are just looking forward to the Olympic break away from him.  I'm banking on a Canucks "mail-in" game.

Perhaps the most important part of this stretch is that they are all regulation wins.
7-2-1 in their last 10 games and all games in regulation so they are picking up points and trying to close the gap on the tie-breaker standings.

You should have a column for shot differential, so we can tell if we are allowed to be happy with this chunk.

Should not all be happy with the chuck due to the wins vs loses. Who cares about the shots. Really when the end product is a win and 2 pts.

I don't see what's so hard to grasp about the concept of being happy when the team wins while not necessarily being happy about the overall play of the team.

I'm not even programmed to feel happiness.

Well that must suck then. I am quit happy that the team has been winning.

I understand that you were kidding. I need to work on my sarcasm a bit better then.

It all depends on how much weight you're applying to each. I mean, if you're more upset about the way they're playing than you are happy about the winning record, then the confusion is understandable.  See Busta.

Oh come on, that was funny.

Why?  For one, how I enjoy or don't enjoy the games shouldn't really be of any concern or confusion to you.  Secondly, I'd personally rather they win more games because they are playing well than winning games because they're relying on the goalie to stand on their head all the time.  These games don't exist in a vacuum.  To me, that's more indicative of a strong overall team and one that I could legitimately expect to excel in the playoffs.

If you want reactions to only be about the result, why even watch the games?  Just look at the boxscore and be happy or sad if they won or lost?  (I'm just saying that to make a point, I don't actually think that's realistic)

I really don't care how you enjoy the games. I just wish more fans would spend their efforts accentuating the positives rather than dwelling on the weaknesses. I understood this more when the team sucked. Now...not so much.

Exactly how it was taken.. Nothing wrong with a little friendly ribbing, and I know my spelling sinks. 8)
