Leafs 2014/2015 Schedule in 10 game chunks

Halfway through December, and the Leafs will be done with the Wings for the rest of the regular season. That's crazy for a divisional opponent. 5 games against them in the first 30.

Yeah it is weird, and we played the Habs once so far, don't play them again until Feb 14!

I was just scoping out the schedule last week and noticed that as well.

Bizarre.

8 out of 10 are at home.  Leafs need to make some hay this chunk.

They have a good chance to take advantage of that.  Less travel movement should leave them less 'fatigued' even though some games will be played in a short span.

Let's face it, all the team they play here are no pushovers.  Lots of skating and offence, which means the Leafs will need to be defensively (and offensively) astute.  No easy games or teams. Both Bernier & Reimer need to be ready for more work.

6-4 to be realistic.

Highlander called 10-0 for this chunk and he's usually pretty close.  Looking like 9-0-1.

Someone commented on the Nashville game potentially being a turning point for this club. Coming off a beating like they took in that game, could either drown them, or make them stronger swimmers. Thankfully, it looks like the latter.

There is no doubt this team has developed some chemistry which I think is as important as individual talent.  Luckily we do have some extremely talented players that have been augmented with the Winneks, Santorelli's, Komarov's etc.
They will probably need another shit kicking or two to really firm up their resolve.

Well as long as it is not a long "Shit kicking" this team is going to have a lot of road games in the future which IMO will be the make or break of them.

I tend to agree with the Cathal Kelly version of this season.  The only thing that is going to save Randy skin is to go very deep into the playoffs, otherwise we can plan on the Babc___k thing happening. The players can decide how far they want to go, they obviously can do it when they want to.

I was hoping that my revised 10-0 prediction would work out and the cheques could have started to flow in. I will revert back to my 6-4 and hope the sleepy Loafs wake up again.

You didn't have it in your heart with the original prediction, I muscled you into it.  You think better for the next chunk.

I was thinking of the big bucks attached to 10-0. Lottery kind of money.LOL
Lets see what happens in the next two.  If Kessel is indeed hurting he should sit out a week and get better.

I don't forsee good things in that Vancouver game.  Leafs have been playing sloppy the last few and Vancouver seems to take pleasure in beating up on the Leafs on national tv.
