I don't really buy A or C there. Liljegren didn't do interviews with TSN or Sportsnet and both of them had him dropping all year regardless and while it's a fine line between "having mono" and "what mono did to his game" let's be real and say that if an elite player had mono, was out with it and came back and played gangbusters it wouldn't affect his draft status much. We've seen that with guys suffering serious injuries in their draft years(Patrick, for instance) so to just say "he had mono" seems like a misrepresentation of what went on.
Probably a fairer list would be A) He didn't have a good year(with Mono being a factor) B) Questions emerged about his defensive game and C) Other players surpassed him. If Liljegren was seen as an elite offensive prospect with some questions about his defensive game, he'd have gone higher because that more or less sums up someone like Makar.
