Leafs Acquire ROR and Acciari

This team needed another leader and I think O'Reilly brings tons of leadership. The obvious key here is staying healthy. He's dynamite at faceoffs and clutch come playoff time. He's one of those sneaky good players that slow the game. I am interested to see what kind of magic he and Mitch can make happen.
 
It feels like each year the Leafs bring in saviors to get them past the first round, and I think that is the wrong approach because it takes the focus off of the big 4.  It seems contradictory.  On the one hand, you are saying that you want to allocate 45% of your cap to four players because you believe that those 4 can get you to where you want to be, but then when push comes to shove, you make moves that point to you not really believing in that scenario.

I feel it is too much, and I would have been happy with just Acciari.

They couldn't fit the 23 man roster with him on IR. When he's ready to go, Woll goes down and the Leafs will have about 570k in space.

Hopefully this gives the Leafs the edge they need for a deep playoff run. O'Reilly and Acciari are both good at faceoffs too so we added to a strength there as well. They need to break through this year, hopefully the goaltending holds up when it counts.

Hehe, I strongly doubt he's signing for league minimum anywhere.

Regarding the trade, I'm sort of 50 50 on whether he was the right player at the cost of acquisition. I guess we'll find out.
