Sparks hasn't been great but I have no problem with Babcock calculating that playing Andersen against NJ is a higher-percentage move.  Also he probably wants to establish a better home record.  Tonight would be their first road loss IIRC ... hard to complain too much methinks.

Sparks isn't good. Even Hrudey was saying he's too deep in his net. He simply can't let any soft goals in especially after the Leafs had been dominating the 1st period. Team has no confidence in him.
 
Watching that last shift completely amazes me how many times Marchand could have been hit or pinned up against the boards but Leafs just skate by him. Which leads to Bruins keeping possession in the aleafs end.

Sparks isn't good. Even Hrudey was saying he's too deep in his net. He simply can't let any soft goals in especially after the Leafs had been dominating the 1st period. Team has no confidence in him.

It's asking quite a bit to ask him to be sharp after 26 days.  But nonetheless he hasn't been good enough tonite.

That's his job tho so he needs to be better. McBackup didn't have an issue last year.

Great Leaf shifts. Tough break getting that stick up there and taking 4 mins on our best PK scorer.
 
And that'll do it.  But I give Leafs credit for that little burst right before, if they'd gotten a lucky one it would have made things interesting.
 
I still maintain that getting an extra 2 for drawing blood might be the dumbest penalty in the rulebook. Worse than the delay of game one.

That's his job tho so he needs to be better. McBackup didn't have an issue last year.

Yeah, they went with youth and the strength of his run last year with the Marlies.  Tough call but I was OK with it.
 
Pasta?s spot is obvious.

They?re so good at flowing around the zone, but the key is Pastrnak is always drifting at the left circle or floating down to the crease.
