Is there a single team in the league, or even historically ever, that hasn't deployed role players? Are all of them wrong?

I just got back from dinner.

I'll get back to you on this after the game.

I like that Matthews and Nylamder have switched sides. They scored a few goals on the wrong side earlier in the season but they call it strong side for a reason.

That should count, but probably won't. Cos, Leafs.

I don't know. I'd be pretty angry if the Leafs challenged a similar play and the goal counted.

Yeah, there's really no way to argue Luongo's ability to make the save wasn't interfered with.

I like Kadri and he almost got away with that one but you can't set a pick on a goalie.

Yup. In real-time, he did not have the ability to recover and regain his position, and JvR's shot went basically where Luongo's blocker would have been had Kadri not made contact with it. That's basically the criteria for overturning a goal.

Lost in all that was that JvR made a really graceful play in tight -- as he often does -- to put it by Luongo.

But yeah, looking at the last replay view it was the right call to call it off.

The "goal" led to the penalty on which we scored the 2nd goal anyway - no goal scored, no players round the benches, no roughing call on Jokinen

Dinner, on a game night? Herman, you have a lot to answer for.

Yes Greg, the second goal the Leafs scored when they're up 2-1 does seem sort of important.

Professional commentary folks.

That was on Zaitsev. Take the hit instead shy away from it and the next thing you know it's in the back of the net.
