I can see him using players the wrong way just to say "this is what you gave me to work with, since I don't have the defensive d-men I wanted, I'll just pretend that Ceci and Barrie is".

I really, truly don't think anyone would make it as far in the hockey world as Babcock has without wanting to win as much as possible. I think, right now,
Babcock is wrong about what would get him those results but I think what you're accusing him of is kind of unfair as it's really calling his integrity into question. Players' careers and futures are at stake. I don't think Babcock would be willing to damage those for the sake of a feud.
I think that Babcock is the kind of a coach that wants the same type of role players he's had in the past with previous teams, and if he doesn't get that he'll try to turn players into something they're not. To me it's obvious that Dubas and Babcock have different ideas of what it takes and Babcock wont adjust. I think that there's bad blood between them no matter what they tell the media. Imo it's up to Shanny to decide now, either Dubas or Babcock.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to purposely trip over defenseman and wipe out goalies from the crease.

Hmm, Barrie with a weird dump in for an easy turnover, and then a really weird backcheck marking someone who was already covered...

Agree with your assessment. If anyone goes it will be Babs. He isn't Dubas' choice.

Good evening everyone glad I just got home and missed the first period and a bit.

See we?re playing our usual defensive game.

Just don?t get how management keeps letting this go on.

Do something before it?s too late.

I don't disagree with any of that. What I disagree with is the idea that Babcock is doing this to prove a point to Dubas and not just a stubbornness about the right way to coach this group.

So Hyman and Kapanen both have way more ice time than Matthews. This is fine.
They were both out there for the PK while Matthews isn't.
There was only 1 penalty so both Hyman and Happy have played 3 mins more then Matthews.
At the time he asked I looked it up and they'd played about 1:40 more than he had so it didn't seem all that out of whack.

They knew he wasn't a great defender ... but what the hey, Kyle thinks, let's get him anyway and you can have Kadri.

Poor kid. They should have left Hutch in there until after this team learns to play defense.

Been waiting for all of Babcocks time in TO.
Never would have been called up.
