Komisarek/Connolly/Lombardi/Armstrong, (D'amigo type of prospect) and 2nd/3rd rounder are as high as I would go.

Nice, how could Gillis resist a 6 player for only one deal?  :)

Bidding war? Yeah... Komisaek and a 5th rounder. If not see ya... No way should any first  2nd or 3rd rd picks be given for this contract.... If we go with Scrivens/Reimer so be it. I don't think we make the playoffs but should be better with a full year of Carlyles system... Screw Gillis

My thoughts exactly.

Well, not mine exactly but darned close.

I can handle another year of Reimer + Whoever but I think we need to recognize that Reimer may never "get his game back" -- or worse, it turns out that "his game" involves the Statue of Liberty Freeze Play far too often.

While that's true, we'll never know unless he's given a legitimate opportunity to take the ball and run with it. In some ways, it's better to see that happen sooner rather than later.

Those 6 mentioned earlier might be a starting point for Nash not Luongo. How about Bernier for say Scrievens and Kadri?
What makes you think Bernier is significantly better than Scrivens, let alone Reimer? Oh and let's not toss Kadri away just yet.

If Kadri is traded I'd be just more peed off at this organization. Leaf Nation seems to always want any draft pick to dominate immediately or he's a bust.

Any trade for Bernier should resemble the Lindback trade... two 2nds, a 3rd and Caron.  No Kadri level players involved in the deal.

So basically the picks plus a low end failed goaltending prospect.  Not exactly a mind boggling price.

If you get Bernier and then send Scrivens to the minors, you have a chance that someone could claim him off waivers, so you'd also potentially be losing Scrivens.... And it just isn't clear that Bernier is any better.  It doesn't make sense to me.

If any one of you had a choice, would you rather have a Theodore on a one year deal, or a Luongo on a multi-year deal?

In other words, would you rather have an acquired goalkeeper signed for short or long term?

With Luongo being the far superior goaltender of the two, I'm still in favour of the Leafs signing him, killer contract or not.

Smells like Luongo to Florida is happening.

Twitter going bonkers right now.

Nobody credible is reporting anything right now.

Miami Herald did...

"Word on the street", that's quite the solid evidence there.

.. and I didn't say there was any solid evidence.  Just said something could be happening because twitter is going a little nuts.

Their "word on the street" is probably them reading some 1 week old article from BMac off of TSN or whatever.

Twitter goes "nuts" over anything. One guy from a paper tweets something, a bunch of people pick up on it and retweet and suddenly you have an event. Doesn't make it true. Maybe there's something there, we've heard multiple sources suggest Florida is in the running, but I don't think twitter exploding means a deal is imminent.
