Barring him falling apart later in the game, I don't understand why he wasn't considered the starter over Carey Price. Luongo really hasn't done anything in the last 4 years to suggest he shouldn't be the starter and we won Gold with him (or in spite of him) last time. Price is a good goalie but he hasn't really won anything outside of juniors and that playoff run as a 19 year old coming off his good junior year.
Carter made up for a pretty rough game against Norway.
