Wow, all this time and I didn't know that the songwriting credits to Bitter Sweet Symphony are held by Jagger and Richards.

Anyone here a Beck fan? I've always liked his music, from what little I've heard. I'd like to check out some of albums, but not sure where to start.

I like songs like Scarecrow, Go it Alone, and Lost Cause. Though, as mentioned above, I haven't heard much more than that.

Suggestions? The wikipedia article mentions Sea Change as one of his best albums.

Sea Change is good, particularly Guess I'm Doing Fine, but my three favourites of his are Mutations, Guero and The Information. Most of his stuff has a huge range of styles, so you may not like everything on them, as I don't. But he certainly has some standout work on all thee albums.

Sea Change is the only one I've heard, but I really enjoyed it.  I don't know what I imagined Beck's music to sound like, but it wasn't like that.  It's a really dreamy record, it memory serves.

I like dabbling in music as a hobby, but man oh man, is DIY recording such a long process.

Do any of you record?

If you call fruity loops + audacity recording - sure
cut and paste baby

Any Shinedown fans?
It's a cover, but a nice one.

I'm kicking myself for having missed Mumford and Sons last month. Would have loved to have seen them live.

Yeah I know...couldn't come up with anything nicer than 'seriously?'...

Any Chuck Jackson fans? I wake up crying is an awesome tune. It's got a really cool sound.

I'm kind of liking Of Monsters and Men, if for no other reason than I get to start the conversation with "they're from Iceland, you probably haven't heard of them".
