Yeah they're both wannabe Toronto media hacks. Did I ever tell you the story about when Garrioch & I almost fought?

No!  Did you take the last chicken wing at the buffet?

Even I know better than that. We were 'discussing' how many games Marty McSorely played for the Pens and he went a bit nuts on me. Garrioch fun fact #1 : most people keep spare tires in their trunk carriage - Bruce keeps hockey stat books in his...but this was a while ago so he might just keep double cheeseburger wrappers in there now.
I seem to be able to bring the best out of people.

Sens lose Foligno.  Considering his age, and what he brings to the team I'm surprised they let him go.

They traded him for Marc Methot.

Really starting to see who the Leaf fans are around here as opposed to hockey fans.

No kidding. Who doesn't know Marc Methot?

Considering his age, and what be brings to the team I was surprised they let him go.

Neil's back, and he took a pay cut.

His cap hit was $2 million, he signed a three year extension worth $5.75 million, giving him a cap hit of about $1.92.  With Carkner and Konopka gone, we'll need him more than ever.

I'm not very impressed with the Foligno trade or the UFA signings, but I'm happy with getting Ceci at the draft, and I think the Karlsson and Neil contracts were good value.

Still think we're a worse team now than we were last season, but that will largely depend on how our younger players perform (Silfverberg, Zibanejad, Stone, Borowiecki, etc).

Neil sucks so I don't mind.

Always had a soft spot for Neil since his Mom tragically passed away.

He was back playing in a few days, not mailing it in mind you, but playing very effectively.

To this day, I have no idea where he found the mental toughness to come back so soon, but he's a winner in my books.
