Hrm, it seems Travis Zajac got ahold of Karlsson through a teammate and told him not to come back.  That he had an achilles injury recently that he came back too early from and it cost him another 2 months.

Karlsson has been cleared to play by the doctors, and he had a clean slice, rather than a rupture like Zajac, but interesting nonetheless.

Oh, please Eugene, try and charge New Jersey with tampering here!

I kinda wish it was a player from the Islanders or the Rangers, a team with something to gain from Karlsson not returning.  That would be fun.

Eugene Melnyk and Mike Gillis should start a conspiracy theory show.  Call it "Two Tired Looking Nut Jobs and their Foil Hats."

Unreal that he recovered so quick.

By his own admission he won't be near full strength though.

So, a less interesting version of Doomsday Preppers?

I've had a fairly nasty Achilles injury. Like Zajac said, you can feel 100% and just fine ... and then pop!! It's hard to sit back when your body is telling you you're ok - when in fact, in my case & Zajac's we found out the hard way, we were not. There seems to be only one solid way to really find out and it looks like Karlsson's determined now is the time to get that answer. Good luck to him. Hope it works out.

You know, I kind of lost some respect for Karlsson when Cooke said he reached out to try and talk to him and he never even responded.  Don't be a 14 year old.

If he goes down clutching his leg tonight, you'll be able to hear my heart breaking from Toronto.

I don't know. With Cooke's history, his actions earlier in the game where Karlsson obtained the injury, I think don't really blame him.

I still question Cooke's actions as being unintentional.

Karlsson assists on the opening goal.

EDIT: And another one on the OT gamewinner to send the Sens to the playoffs.

27+ minutes in icetime, 8 shots, +2 on the night on top of the 2 helpers on both Sens goals. Pretty impressive.
