Official Ottawa Senators Thread

Sens are in trouble, the only easy game is Philly.

They play the red hot Capitals and the big bad Bruins.

Winnipeg and Washington will decide tonight the 3rd and 8th place, a win by the Jets push the Sens out of the dance (with a game in hand), the very next Sens game is in Whashington.

Jets and Sens can push the Capitals out.

Good that a team from Ontario is falling late in the season and is not Toronto!

The next 2 Capitals games will be something exciting.  Caps/Jets tonight, and then Caps/Sens on Thursday.  Both the Caps and the Jets hold the ROW tiebreaker over Sens, so if all 3 teams finish with the same points, Sens are out.  I realize Sens have an extra game in hand over Jets, but it's looking tough for them right now.  They'll be rooting for the Caps to win tonight.

Worse thing that can happen for Sens is to have Jets win in OT.

A regulation win by the Jets would elevate them from a 32% chance to a 66% chance of making the playoffs while lowering Washington's chances to 71% from 91%.

A Washington regulation or OT win would clinch a playoff berth for them while lowering the Jets chances to 9%.

It's kind of like the playoffs have already started - almost a playoff elimination game tonight as far as the Jets are concerned because their chances of making the playoffs get pretty slim if they don't win.

It's like the Jets are the road team in a 7 game series that is going in to the fifth game tied 2-2 wherein each team has won at home so far.

Does anyone know where I can watch this game? The Caps/Jets one..

I'm pumped up to see it, unfortunately TSN chose to air the Bruins/Flyers.

Any other networks showing it?

I'm pretty sure that channel is part of Centre Ice.

It is part of the Centre Ice package. TSN is airing the game in the Jets region only.

Yea, it's on the TSN Jets channel in canada, your only bet is online or center ice.

Karlsson took part in a full practice today, paired with Methot, then stayed late to work with our skating coach.

Travelling to Washington, Maclean says he'll play when Karlsson says he's ready.  Mackenzie says he "wouldn't be surprised" if he plays tomorrow.

In other news, Alfie is supposed to join twitter soon.  Not thrilled about that.

What if he says something stupid?  Like how black people are responsible for crime, or how much he likes the new Lady GaGa track?

True. He does something like that and he may start getting booed at home games.

Hrm, it seems Travis Zajac got ahold of Karlsson through a teammate and told him not to come back.  That he had an achilles injury recently that he came back too early from and it cost him another 2 months.

Karlsson has been cleared to play by the doctors, and he had a clean slice, rather than a rupture like Zajac, but interesting nonetheless.

Oh, please Eugene, try and charge New Jersey with tampering here!
