Um, never mind. I give up. No point in going on with this.

Nik? said:So yeah, to conclude, I mean I'm as surprised as anyone about this. I'd have thought Perry or Sedin or Ovechkin would have numbers that knocked Parise out of the park. As is though...man, it's entirely possible that Parise was undervalued here, as strange as that is to consider.

Sgt said:Really. Kovalchuk can go around you or through you... Parise? Not so much.
Beowulf said:Suter on the other hand? Just the opposite. I haven't seen him play close to as much so I really can't give an accurate judgement. While statistically he strikes me as more of a one dimensional offensive defenseman who is not at all physical, everything I've read on him thus far indicates he's a very strong two way player. So what do I know really, maybe he is worth that cap hit and term.
Deebo said:Minnesota's defense is pretty ugly after Suter though.

Nik? said:It'll be interesting to see if Suter's really that good or if maybe he was just the perfect partner for Weber.

Parise can absolute do the same, and is much more willing to try to go through you than Kovalchuk has been. He may not be as big, but he's just a tough, if not more. I'd say Parise if tougher to play against.
Sgt said:Parise does have heart and is far from "soft" but honestly, I don't see it. When Kovalchuk plays in a bad mood (granted, he doesn't always) he's as dangerous a forward there is in the league.
Sgt said:Nik? said:Sgt said:I haven't checked your numbers but I'm not sure why you're choosing to operate in a 3 year box.
Long enough so that we're working with a multi-year spread, not so long as to include performance that isn't really relevant to today.
By who's standards?
