Have all the geezers deferred to Mark Masters? Seems like he's asking 75%+ of the questions in a lot of scrums.

As they should. He?s better than all of them

I have no bias.

Yeah, he has NO compromising pictures of you, no siree.

He?d never!

It?s actually video.

Usually when someone like Matthews is out for practice but expected to play the next game the team puts a placeholder player in his spot while keeping the rest of the lines intact.

This does not seem to be a placeholder situation.

Marner has a huge opportunity to get back in everybody's good graces and off the trade lists.

I think the talent here is capable of beating the Bruins, but as usual, the Leafs toughest opponent is and always has been themselves. Lines 2-4 are in their near optimal state. Time to beat them with depth. I think Matthews being off the PP will actually make Marner more effective (psychologically) in that he will use all the other teammates.

Glad to see the TJ Brodie experiment is over.
He was actually decent until that 3rd goal. Just hasn't been a very good year for Brodie. I'm sure losing his dad has had some effect but it's clear he's lost a step this year.
I hope the Sammy experiment is over as well.

Well he's going down with the ship I guess.
3 pass first guys on PP1 and Jarnkrok on PP2? 5 goals 90 playoff games.
I would try this because everything else isn't working...and without 34 I'm leaving 88 on the whole PP.
PP1...Lily, Bert, Robertson, Marner, Willy
PP2...JT. Domi, Rielly, Knies, Willy

I still remember being amazed about how well Gary Roberts & Alyn McCauley played in that series!

But then do you remember how the team let its collective foot off the gas when Sundin returned?

Did they let their feet off the gas or did they just run out of it? I remember feeling the guys who stepped up in Mats' absence just didn't have much left in the tank when he got back.

That team had a lot of injuries. A bunch of AHLers stepped in.
Renberg, Tucker, Yushkevich, Pilar, Valk, Lumme, Sundin, more?
Cujo, Roberts, McCauley, Mogilny, McCabe & Kaberle & more? carried them.

This actually explains why it has taken a bit of time for Knies to realize he could wreck just about anybody on the ice.

Knies wanting to beat up Pastrnak was awesome.

Treliving would do really well to get him signed to an 8-year contract extension as soon as he can this summer.
