I think the team can get a shot of adrenaline the first few games a star player is out. After that the adrenaline wears off and they go back to what they are.

At the beginning of the year I would have told you the defence was better but still a question mark. Goaltending same. Now I’m thinking the offence is more of a concern and I’m not just going by today’s game. 3rd and 4th lines stink. If the top 6 aren’t winning us games going to be a challenge.

They've won their share of games but it hasn't been pretty to watch. Not creating a lot of chances most nights. I know Matthews is out but he wasn't exactly lighting it up but maybe when he's back try evening up the top 3 lines and see if they can get some more scoring.
