It's be cool if the lumbering oaf would do something in a game where the team is flat. Why is Reaves on the team if not to provide a physical spark in terrible games like this

McMann has regressed. Domi is lost somewhere in the desert. Robertson is the guy who teases you and never delivers. H K and R were never going to give you much to begin with.

Just slow lazy passes let Ottawa close off any play. I really jus don't understand how the entire lineup can just play listless consistently

Absolutely embarrassing effort. The crowd should be booing the hell out of them for wasting their money. Sometimes things aren't going to go your way but there is an effort problem tonight

That's why I don't think you build a winning team the way our core are paid. Tavares off the books will help if they don't overpay him to stay and for short term otherwise you let him walk. Marner another decision. If he takes close to what he's making now fine otherwise see you later. Our farm team doesn't have anyone that is going to blow you out of your seats. Draft picks squandered away. It's going to be tough for this team to compete like they have unless Tre can make some good trades and hopefully guys like Minten and Cowan can make an impact sooner than later.

They need to put Robertson with guys that can feed him the puck. Holmberg and Dewar aren't those guys. Domi is not a C. McMann refuses to use his big body for some reason.

In this league you can't waste roster spots. Tre needs to swallow hard and waive Reaves.

The Tavares contract, even now, is not the core problem. He had 29/65 last season ... and continues to deliver value this season.

To get some emotion into the game . I don't care if he hacks a pass into the slot that turns into nothing
 
That felt like the PP from the start of the year where there is too much stationary perimeter play

Everything you say is true. It's also true that he's been the best forward, which is why we are headed toward a shutout.
