My buddy from Montreal posted a video of the "protest" last night in front of the Bell Centre.  He's the cameraman and his buddy has the mic.

They went to show how stupid it was.

*Bump* Video of the protest for those who didn't see it

Wow, that's just sad and funny all at once.

Almost as lame as the "don't trade Spezza" protests that swept the streets here last year.

Things are going just peachy in Montreal right now.

Montreal Canadiens forward Mike Cammalleri ripped his team for being a bunch of "losers" and voiced his displeasure over a reduction in ice time under interim head coach Randy Cunneyworth.

"I can't accept that we will display a losing attitude as we're doing this year," Cammalleri said Wednesday. "We prepare for our games like losers. We play like losers. So it's no wonder why we lose."

His excuse for letting Arnott go sure resonates with me.  ::)

Sounds like he wants out.

Manson, given Cammalleri's comments, would you consider trading him to Washington for Semin + a little something? My thinking is Semin gives you a comparable replacement and it gives your team some flexibility. You would have either a few months to decide to resign Semin or it would get you out of the 6 mil. going forward for next year.. You might even be able to trade his rights away for another little something should you opt to go in that direction. Or, maybe there's another player you have an eye on in a similar type deal or perhaps you're just not interested in moving Cammalleri at all. Anyway, just think out loud as I go over some rosters.

I think Semin has far more talent than Cammalleri, he's just lazy.  He's almost a point a game player who doesn't seem to care on a lot of nights.  Also he's done crap all for the Caps in the playoffs, at least Cammalleri showed up in the post season for the Habs.

does anyone really want semin?  here's a guy you have to keep making one year deals with just to keep him the least bit motivated ...and he tends to play just well enough to get the next one ..montreal has already been through something similar in kovalev

Nice to see other Canadian team than Leafs crumbling to dust for a change.

If only the Canucks would start to suck now too all would be well with me.

Cammalleri has been pulled from the habs game in the 3rd period.

Not injured, put in a cab to the team hotel says Bob McKenzie, he suggests a trade is a possibility.

I'd be surprised, they let him out of town pretty quick
