The Habs Thread - Reloaded

Manson, given Cammalleri's comments, would you consider trading him to Washington for Semin + a little something? My thinking is Semin gives you a comparable replacement and it gives your team some flexibility. You would have either a few months to decide to resign Semin or it would get you out of the 6 mil. going forward for next year.. You might even be able to trade his rights away for another little something should you opt to go in that direction. Or, maybe there's another player you have an eye on in a similar type deal or perhaps you're just not interested in moving Cammalleri at all. Anyway, just think out loud as I go over some rosters.

I think if it was for Semin I would want the + little something to be coming from Montreal.

Cammalleri traded. No word where he was traded yet. Im guessing LA.

That seems really unlikely. Most likely it's somewhere like the Islanders or Colorado - a team with a lot of cap space and a bad contract or two they can send back.

Just saw this now. Id rather have cammalleri personally but that would be a good return. Semin's a douche and one of my least favourite players but hes super talented

He would fit right in Montreal but does he speak French that is the question.

Just for the record I had no problems with Cammalleri's comments.

I also bet we'll get crap all for him as usual

Helene Elliott @helenenothelen
Kings asst GM Ron Hextall says Cammalleri not being traded to LA. Ducks source said they haven't traded for him, either

i think he's one of montreal's better assets ..i know he hasn't worked out for them this year..but i'd still think they'll be able to get something decent for him..otherwise why pull the trigger...unless his comments were the tip of the iceberg in the dressing room

I'll laugh so hard if it's Stajan heading to Montreal. Calgary is going to have to send salary back to make this deal work.
