Killing Eve, Fleabag, and Crashing are my Phoebe Waller-Bridge trifecta of excellence.

I just found out that she's (somewhat) involved with the script for the next Bond movie, that's pretty cool: https://www.slashfilm.com/phoebe-waller-bridge-james-bond-25-rewrites/

I wasn't gonna, but now I'm gonna (watch that).

She's also L3-37 in the Solo movie that I didn't watch but heard she was the best part of.

So I'm watching Fleabag on vacation right now and I'm not really connecting with the show like I thought I would. I generally like most things British, maybe I'm just confused as to what I should feel for the show/characters? Not sure....

Halfway into episode 4 on the sister retreat.

I liked it, the second season especially, but I didn?t think it was as good as labeled by many.

The themes touched on are great and rang true, but all too often she felt like an overgrown adolescent and that started to grate eventually.

The actress playing the character was great though and you definitely felt for her at times.

I sort of had the opposite feeling where while I found that stuff with the main character was great, there was a real problem in writing some of the other characters. Outside of the Dad, the Priest and occasionally the Sister a lot of the time the characters felt like cartoonish jerks(the Step-Mom and the Brother-in-Law in particular) who only existed to give the main character something to react to.

That said, I found the whole sort of conceit and set-up of the show to be really great and ultimately satisfying as a whole.

My opinion of it is still based entirely on the original promos that aired during HNIC and the fact that it's produced by the CBC but I refuse to believe that Schitt's Creek is even remotely good. I don't care how many people tell me otherwise I'm standing my ground here.

I'm in the same boat. Mind you, I also felt the same way about Letterkenny until I gave it a go recently and it was ok. Not life changing or anything but fun enough.

The Emmy Award Nominations are out. Lot of love for Game of Thrones, Fleabag, Barry and Veep. Particularly happy to see Anthony Kerrigan from Barry getting a nomination.

I'm partial to Anna Chlumsky on Veep, glad to see her nominated.

Agreed. Although the thing with VEEP is that you could pick a castmember for a nomination at random and it would be a good choice.

I actually enjoy Schitt's Creek a lot and I was vehemently against it. Catherine O'Hara is freaking fantastic.
