I don't know. I mean, the chemistry between Kulemin, Grabovski and MacArthur is well documented, but, there was also a fair amount of chemistry between Lupul and Kessel - I mean, after Lupul joined the team, Kessel put up 13 goals and 29 points in 28 games post trade, which was well above his pace before the trade. I'd lean towards keeping them together.

Well, I'm not suggesting they keep Bozak with Lupul and Kessel from that stretch...  :P Lupul is a natural right winger and Kulemin was the defensive glue on Grabbo's unit who I've seen play capably on both wings, MacArthur is a natural left winger who seems to compliment Grabbo too.

I was trying to think of ways to get those glaring minuses down for Kessel's unit while somewhat maintaining production from the second line. It would also break up 3 right handed shots on one line, though that's probably the weakest part of what I'm saying.

I can see why some wouldn't want to mess with success but I think there's a bigger picture that needs to be addressed in that Kessel's line wasn't exactly stellar for the most part defensively.

Who knows, maybe moving Kulemin would wreck the Grabbo line but maybe that would just show a truer value of it too. It's a premature idea as I have no idea how Lupul and Kessel will play with Connolly, still, I wonder if a little pain wouldn't provide some gain.

Well he did do that but then again he was forced to use Crabb and Goyle Boyce for extended periods, lost what is supposed to be his best defenceman for quite a while, didn't have much in the way of goaltending until Reimer and yet still managed to get the team pretty motivated down the stretch ( earlier actually ) even with losing Kaberle, Beauchemin and Versteeg.

A lot happens in 3/4 of the season, I don't agree with some of Wilsons choices but then in some of them I don't think he had a lot of wiggle room in the roster.

Interesting list of guys nonetheless.  It all still adds up to Connolly being a pretty long longshot.
 
Didn't see another Connolly thread, but I have been wondering how surprised everyone is that he is injured before the season even begins. I am not really expecting more than half the season healthy out of him.
 
Hockey players get injured.  There's talk he could even be in on Saturday.  I bet if it were the playoffs, he might of even been in the last game. 
 
Henny tweets that Connolly told him that he probably won't go tomorrow night, but should be ready for Calgary game. No structural problems, just pain he's experiencing.
 
We knew he was fragile and likely to miss some games. Under the glass half full philosophy, I'm grateful it's just a couple of games and nothing too serious. Some of the media comments have been a little over the top with this injury.

543 NHL games later, and a season in the KHL, Nik Antropov is still one game away from the inevitable career ending knee injury we heard about nine years ago.  ;)

Tim Connolly participated in practice for 45 minutes today, leaving about 20 minutes before practice concluded. Connolly said he?s still not ready for contact (upper-body injury). - TSN

man I am really starting to not like connolly, it is one thing to hear he is made of glass second hand, a whole other thing to see it yourself
 
Hearing still in pain so not ready, upper body injury, why the mystery in regards to this?  What is it, shoulder, neck, concussion symptoms?  I think the annoying part of the whole thing is the silence in regards to exactly what it is.

Why would that make you not like him?  I could understand not liking the situation, but it's not really a fault of his if he has trouble staying healthy or healing.

I like Colaiacovo as a player, but would not want to rely on him due to injury history.  Like him, don't like his injuries.
