I guess it means we won't see him for a couple of months..
??? What does that even mean?

McPwnage said:my guess is that it means he is incapable of pushing himself and playing with any minor pain what so ever. Newsflash: it's hockey, you're supposed to be tough

don't expect to see him soon.
CarltonTheBear said:It's October. Connolly can take all the time he needs to recover from this. Especially if we're winning.

The full (and correct) quote was:
?I don?t know if it?s day-to-day now it might be a little bit longer but I don?t want to speculate,? Connolly said. ?Whether it is a week or two weeks before I?m playing I don?t know.?
Tigger said:From the tsn article Redleaf posted...
"That's what I did initially," he explained, "just took a few days [off] right away [and the] swelling went down, pain level went down. Then got back out there and thought it would just be pain tolerance. But it was pretty severe and that's when we realized it was going to take a little bit longer so I had to back off some of the shooting and puck-handling and even grinding up against the boards, things like that."
Connolly denied speculation that the injury was related to either his head or neck, but declined to reveal the true nature of the malady for fear of targeting on the ice. He also rejected any notion of surgery being required.
He should be fine.
It's interesting to me that there isn't an 'oh no we're doomed' response with both Connolly and Kadri out, the Leafs depth is a bit more of a positive than it was last year.

Kadri assigned to Marlies and Connolly is inching closer to return. Told he's doubtful for tomorrow, but could play after that.

Paul Hendrick is the man. I just tweeted him how long he expects Connolly to be out, says at least a week away.

Did you wish him a happy birthday?
