Tim Connolly Interview today on the FAN590

Hearing still in pain so not ready, upper body injury, why the mystery in regards to this?  What is it, shoulder, neck, concussion symptoms?  I think the annoying part of the whole thing is the silence in regards to exactly what it is.

I heard it was his shoulder.

It's just slightly annoying to not know what it is exactly. I hate this day to day stuff, but there's no way to set a timeline on to it, it seems.

its not like his injury history is short and only limited to the last year or two, he has missed significant time for the last 5 years. you can't learn not to be injury prone. even though we've signed him for two years, i would never include him in line-up projections.

So I was thinking, "poor Tim, a little overreaction to his injury - reminds me of Carlo".

Then I saw Carlo is out with another concussion in his first game of the season ... 11 mins of ice time. And with his largest number of GP in his career at 67 in a season. Some guys just don't have good luck with injuries.

If he's not feeling 100% he might not be any better than Bozak in that state anyways, and also more likely to get more severely injured.  It would also send a guy like Frattin or Kadri that many of us would like to see getting NHL experience to the AHL.

I still look forward to seeing him play whenever he is ready.

Ice Chips -

F Tim Connolly departed practice after just 15 minutes on Tuesday. He made it through about 45 minutes on Monday. He's looking less and less likely for Saturday's game against Calgary. - TSN

At this point I don't care if Connolly comes back or not. I'm just tired of hearing about him.

You should care, he's a very talented hockey player.

Put it this way, his cap hit is 1 year less than Tuckers. Things could be worse.

Ive heard that about him...

uh, ok. You're not interested in having talented hockey players on your team?

So far, he's only missed 2 games.
