Burke, however, told Schenn prior to the Leafs game against the Sabres that the team had not offered him as part of a trade.
?I told Luke it?s not a guarantee that he wouldn?t be traded if something materializes, but we?re not in trade discussions with any team about him right now,? Burke said. ?We haven?t offered him to anybody. I don?t know where the rumours started. I told him that?s not happening.?

Shrewd move by Burke. He's now publicly mentioned that Schenn IS available if the right deal comes along but denies the JVR rumors.

Yeah. He's starting that media manipulation game. A trade is a-coming soon.

I'm just itching for a trade... I can't wait to see what Burke has up his sleeve.

Burke already denied the JVR rumours as unfounded but that doesn't mean Schenn's name isn't involved elsewhere.

I know it's tough sometimes, but you are still allowed to laugh at obvious jokes.

Physicality is a positive aspect and everything but it doesn't mean that much on its own when the player struggles to keep up with the pace of the game.
I don't know if he's struggling that much. He is a +7. His ice time is down, but that may just be the result of the team having 6+ defensemen that can play.
Yea but it's +/-... on it's own and without additional perspective it's a meaningless stat.
As for the reduction in ice time, it's really a matter of him being out-played/surpassed by other emerging D-man.
+7 is the second best rating on the team.
Yes, but +/- is immensely dependent upon who you play against. Phaneuf is typically the guy who plays against the best opposition forwards. I believe Schenn has been sheltered a little bit more recently and is playing more often against weaker opposition. Watch for it tonight. Is Schenn playing against Pominville or is he playing against the Sabres third and fourth lines?

If/when it does, Schenn doesn't really fit the need anymore.
