Okposo would have been a nice add. But the Leafs would have needed retention which adds to the cost, and reportedly Buffalo let him pick his destination here so that's moot anyway.

He was cleared to practice a week ago, so, I have to imagine he's really close to be cleared for games, too.

I assumed this was with no retention, because Winnipeg had the cap space to take him at his full hit and it wasn't reported at the time. But NJ retained 50%, which makes the return feel even much cheaper. Surprised a team like Vegas or Vancouver didn't beat this.
 
Is anyone actually watching the trade show?  Talk about something that needs to be retired.
