2023-24 General Trades & Signings

I mean to Kuznetsov's credit it's only been 2 years since he had 78 points in 79 games. At 50% retained this feels like a reasonable gamble for a team that needs the offence he can provide and has the cap space to fit him.

Good move for the Canes who look a lot better today then yesterday. Andersen is back as well.

Caps eating half that salary to get rid of him.

The guy is known to have a powder vacuum above his mouth, surprised a smart team like Carolina would bring that near their locker room.

Carolina hasn't exactly been shy picking up players with pretty obvious red flags lately.

Yeah, Tulsky is a ruthless market inefficiency guy. Buy assholes low, sure, but this one seems more risky than a boneheaded Trumper.

This problem child feels like a better fit for what they need, especially if he can keep his blowhole closed more than he has previously. He's probably not the only guy on the roster who partakes - I get the impression it's not an unusual thing around the league, but most guys have it more under control. Feels less likely to cause friction with his teammates the way a deluded Trumphole would (and, most likely, has, considering he found himself on waivers yesterday, hasn't performed, and hasn't been in the lineup on a regular basis).

He's still kicking around?

Also, why is CBJ adding a goalie? Precursor move or does their farm team need help?

That's fair in terms of culture.

I know it's common, I have family who work in Toronto's VIP nightlife industry.

I'd just be wary of his influence on younger guys in terms of it potentially becoming a bigger issue.

Carolina has a fairly veteran roster - not old, but not a lot of guys who haven't been around the league for a few years already - so, I don't see that as a concern.

Winnipeg making another big move to take themselves out of Cup contention. ;P

I hope you're right and I hope the Eagle has figured it out.

The trade return suggests there is still a concern, but perhaps it was just a bridge that had been burned.

I would've liked him on the Leafs for some scoring depth. West is a major arms race though.
