Love how Veges operates. Always going for it.

They also end up having to give away some pretty decent players for scraps. It?s worked for them, so far, but you can only go down this path for so long.
They won a cup and will contend again this year. Not afraid to make trades and get rid of players to make it work.

Like I said, it?s worked for them. But, eventually, the roster will get too old, their pipeline too thin, and they?ll have to do a full scorched earth rebuild. At least they?ll have a cup to show for it, but their strategy has an expiry date.

Feels like purgatory with the Leafs right now. Not good enough to go for it and not bad enough to dump anything. Only long term should be considered.

What ever the hell it is the Leafs are doing has yielded one playoff round win. Vegas has been ruthless with their asset management and willingness to bend every rule there is.

The condition on the first is 2025 VGK first unless Vegas trades it, then bumps to 2026.

Is Craig Conroy alright?

Extremely soft returns for the team that basically had most of the top options this deadline.

Pretty clear who Seravalli?s contact is.

What if the Leafs top-4 right handed dman trade turns out to be Justin Holl?

Two solid bottom-6 adds for Colorado. Again, this forward group is deeeeeeeeeeeeeeep now.

Full trade. Pretty good haul for a UFA that may re-sign back in Pitt and a D prospect....Looks like 2 very solid prospects, a guaranteed 2nd and Bunting.

Why would Guentzel decide to re-sign with Pittsburgh?  They're a sinking ship.  He'll get enough offers from teams in much better positions to make it worth his while to forgo signing back there.

It?s an okay haul. Small, skilled guys that Dubas loves, no guaranteed 1st, and also sent a decent young D the other way. I?d give it a B.
