Canucks @ Leafs - Nov. 5th, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

As much as I hate seeing guys get hit in the head the refs have to make some tough calls, but if I guy to is going down or slouched over like Sedin was there a hit like that looks 10 times worse. Going to expose yourself be ready to get pasted. Didn't hear nothing about a penalty coming up until Jansen went after Kadri. I know I'm old school but you can't seem to touch anyone anymore. Simpson and Hughson wanted a penalty on Reilly just before that. It's hockey man not soccer.

The call on Kadri was charging because Kadri took way too many strides towards Sedin. That was an easy call, regardless of where Kadri hit him.

I'm somewhat in shock Reilly threw an open ice hit. I can't recall that ever happening.

Same thought here.  Would love to see that happen a little more often.

The resulting 2 on 1 that resulted in a goal is a pretty good argument for why that's usually not a good idea.

Hey, well done Rielly. This has been a bizarre 3rd.

Note the classy punches from Burrows when he's safely behind the linesman.

Burrows is known as a douche bag anyways

This game is literally Exhibit A for why deterrents actually just make things worse. Especially if the Canucks look for further retribution for the Stetcher incident.

Martin that was uncalled for. I can see your tough guy going after someone willing or in the same class but Stecher. Wait till next game and go after Dorsett.

third man in is Miller so he should be gone and Andersen gone for coming over centre ice.

both lines gone

Please nobody ever talk about Martin being a deterrent ever again.

Eh...I'm not usually a guy to think this way but if he'd been maybe a little smarter about it he maybe could have been. After Vancouver sent two goons after guys on the Leafs that don't fight Martin should have effectively done the same thing and just beat the crap out of one of Vancouver's skill guys.

Which, in fairness to him, he was about to do before Miller was the 3rd man in.
