COVID Cap Crunch - 2020 Offseason

I figured he would get just over 3M so yep that fits in line with Tampa gets discounts on everyone.
 
A few UFA signings today:

Froklik signs with Montreal, 1-year @ $750k.

Nashville signs Granlund (1 year, $3.75mil) and Haula (1 year, $1.75mil).
 
Frolik at 750K seems like a not bad risk.  6 years of 10+ goals and 5 of 6 years with 15+ and then he had a bad year last year

Good value on all those deals. If they rebound to near previous peaks, they're steals. If they remain where they were recently, they're roughly fair value.
 
For all the talk about how every deal Tampa signs is a steal because they get that sweet no-tax discount on everyone... this seems about market value. In fact EvolvingHockey actually projected it to be at 3 years, $4.4mil. Sergachev's deal was also basically market value considering the Werenski/McAvoy deals. I think Cernak's contract was just about right as well. Sure there's a handful of guys who took a tad less but I think that was more of a personal choice than a "we don't pay tax so take off 20%" sort of thing.

Also even with Kucherov on LTIR, some type of move will still be required to get them cap compliant.

Coburn and one of the young forwards to the taxi squad and they're good to go with a 20 man roster. Not a big deal really.

Per Capfriendly that would still put them a few hundred k over the cap.

True, forgot that you can only bury so much. Well then we won't be surprised when Coburn or Stamkos goes on LTIR lol.
