I'm pretty convinced that Fraser is still hurt, and that it's affecting his game. He was playing better before his injury and I haven't seen that level of play since.

Over the last ten games or so, its been painfully obvious that the Leafs are continually losing battles along the boards, in both the offensive and defensive zones... we either get our chances on the rush, or we spend a solid minute trying to get possession in our D zone. We're badly missing a shutdown D to play on the 2nd pairing with Franson.
Getting Bolland back would help take some pressure off the D, but even so, there's a gap back there. Maybe its time to see what Reimer could bring in trade.
Joe S. said:I've had it with this team. There's no passion that I can see when they play, no determination to make things happen, no extra gear when they need it (and every other lame cliche). The closest any player on this team came to exhibiting andy of those qualities is Lupul, and that's been absent as well lately.
I thought maybe Clarkson was going to kind of be that grab the team by the throat kind of player and make things happen, but he's, well, not doing that.
This team needs an identity makeover. The Leafs have some good parts, but I know it sounds silly, but they don't have any of those 'intangibles', like say, Grabovski had. As much as they annoyed me, this team needs personalities like Tucker and Roberts type players.
The Wilson teams you knew would suck by just looking at the rosters, but this is just really frustrating because on paper they seem like a decent team, but the product on the ice has just been garbage.

^THIS^
The Chicago game was pure fluke I think. It did nothing but grab my attention again for a fleeting moment. There simply isn't a way these guys can be HALF that good on a consistent basis. Honestly, I don't know what this team is. No heart. No identity. Just (as you say) 'garbage.'

Couldn't agree more! There's talent on this current club, but not a lot of maple leaf pride. Every player just kind of looks like an "asset", not a building block. Even Kessel.
Roberts, Mogilny, Sundin, Tucker... even Domi... who are their equivalents on the current roster?

This is how I felt after episode 1 of 24/7. They've got it pretty good in Toronto... take away the bubble hockey table and make them use broken toasters until they win a few games. 8)

Yeah, screw this "family day" the Leafs put on. I saw a bunch of the Leafs children laughing and having fun on the ice - it's nice those kids can laugh while their father can't win a game.

They weren't laughing from having fun. They were laughing because every last one of them beat Mark Fraser in a skating competition.
