Men's Olympic hockey

Price is top goalie. Karlsson best D. KESSEL top forward.

Edit: Carlton beat me.
I'll argue with the choices for Best D and best forward. Doughty OR Weber over Karlsson. Crosby, Toews, even Carter over Kessel.

oh well. The big thing is the gold :)

That was a total clinic team Canada put on in the gold medal game. Amazing! Those guys looked liked they had been playing together as a team for an entire season.

...this was a team from start to finish. It was clear from the second period of the opening game, when Norway went 18 minutes without so much as getting a shot, what this group was capable of.

Under the guidance of coach Mike Babcock and an uber-prepared management team, this group of Canadians left no stone unturned. It recognized that the game had to be played defensively on the larger international ice surface and they drew up a plan accordingly. It hired Ralph Krueger ? the man who coached Switzerland to a crushing upset win over Canada at the Turin Games ? and had him do advance scouting.

It is no coincidence that Team Canada didn?t trail once during this pressure-packed event. What a team.

.. and one may add, a perfect record, plus two consecutive shutouts (semi-final win over the U.S.).  Yes, definitely one of the best it not the best Team Canada ever assembled.

I feel bad for Sweden/Backstrom.  I understand anti-doping but Claritin as a banned substance is F'ng stupid.

It was nice seeing Mike Babcock smile for the first time all tournament.  And Crosby was the best player on the ice today IMO.  He stepped up his game.  Canada overall was dominant from start to finish.

Do they not name a tournament MVP at the Olympics, or did I miss it?
