I know the Leafs give up a ton of shots, but what's up with Ottawa? Isles had 57 shots last night!?

Their best defenceman doesn't really play defence. The rest of their blue line is old and slow or young and prone to mistakes. Also, Anderson is back to being only human and they don't have the most defensively responsible group of forwards, either.

...that's fair. But they're having no problems scoring at least.

Your criticism of the elder dmen is a little off - Corvo only plays every other game, Phillips is -1, and Methot is usually one of our best players every night.
We are taking a ton of penalties too - most of them of the dumb variety...hard to criticize goalies who are making 40+ saves every game. It's only Nov 2...like I said I'm only hovering over the panic button.

Hey, just because the Leafs are bad defensively doesn't mean I can't accurately call out other teams as being the same - or maybe worse, since Ottawa is the only team in the league averaging more shots against per game.

15 pts in 14 games now for EK65...offensively things are fantastic in the Nations Capital....defensively not so much.
Luckily it doesn't sound like Anderson's neck injury isn't too bad.
