Ranking Prospects 2024-25

https://twitter.com/MapleLeafs/status/1833520840488497530

The Baby Buds are facing the Habs' rejuvenated prospect pipeline, who are missing their latest crown jewel, Ivan Demidov (KHL started). Slafkovsky, like Knies, has graduated to full time NHL status. Should be fun for Cade Webber to face former teammate Lane Hutson.

Forwards
Owen Beck, Jared Davidson, Sean Farrell, Emil Heineman, Riley Kidney, Justin Larose, Filip Mesar, Israel Mianscum, Logan Nijhoff, Maxime Pellerin, Charles Savoie, Tyler Thorpe, Luke Tuch, Florian Xhekaj

Defensemen
Emanuelson Charbonneau, Adam Engstr?m, Lane Hutson, Logan Mailloux, Simon Motew, Owen Protz, David Reinbacher

Goaltenders
Matteo Drobac, Quentin Miller, Samuel Richard

I look forward to seeing more of the tenders. It's one of the areas that the Leafs really need someone to come out of the woodwork. Woll looks like he has the skill but doesn't have the health.

Miroslav Holinka could get a preview of his WHL season when he presumably plays alongside fellow Oil King and UFA invite Marshall Finnie (might age out of the WHL actually).

PPP: 1. Matt Knies
Scouts of his NCAA play would tell you about his corner work, and not just his ability, but his commitment to it. He likes board battles, he thinks they're the point of hockey.

Of the new big three* (or perhaps Core 4 2.0?), Knies is the biggest and strongest and probably has the best shot. They are all hard working, mobile, complementary players who know their roles and relish the boring stuff that is foundational to creating more exciting hockey moments. His big area for development is between the ears in decision making, anticipating play which will help him leverage his physical gifts and training.

* Knies, Minten, Cowan (& Danford)

Top line and likely top pair at the upcoming mini tournament.

We've got new practice jerseys this season (Fanatics) that feature an accent colour on the shoulder gussets.

I don't recall if there was advertising on the previous practice jersey, but it looks like a Ford logo here.

is there any way to watch this on the tube? I am in BC.

There is nothing on tv as these are just from their on-ice practices in the lead up to the weekend tourney against Montreal.

Re game stream: Leafs don?t really say anything until the puck is about to drop. Likely through the Leafs app, and probably something from the Montreal side.

Boo. But health comes first.

Ty Voit was always small when drafted, but it is striking to see how small his body still is at rookie camp, ge is tiny. He looks like my 9 year old could body him.

Thanks herman.
