I read that they cancelled westworld due to ratings decline.

I can't remember a show that was so good in season 1 that got so bad, so quickly. I got until about midway through 2, and that was it.

That said, I think the opening theme and visuals are up there in terms of of best ever. Very cool.

I?m always amazed The Walking Dead kept going as long as it did (or maybe even still is?). Season 1 was brilliant and from memory I think that was all there was meant to be. Season 2 and on was just? slow. Nothing really ever happened.

Although I did enjoy Walking Dead a little longer than that, I have to agree; it never returned to the greatness of the first season and got old very quickly. Frank Darabont directed season 1 and, I believe, was also the showrunner, which probably explains the quality. I'm sure there were supposed to be multiple seasons (its a very popular comic book series) but Darabont was ousted after season 1 due to behind the scenes drama.

My pick goes to "Alf." After season 1, eat the cat, fix your ship, and end the silliness already!

So I watched "Glass Onion" last night, and can't believe it got such good reviews.

I expected a quirky mystery like knives out, and while I enjoyed the pokes at parallels to celebrity culture, there was no mystery, no twist, nothing. I couldn't believe how lame the ending was. Total waste of Daniel Craig's character.

Was I missing something?

How was there no twist(s)? I thought it was as good as the first, but I did figure out who the killer was in the first the initial time they put him on screen in the first film.

It's worse.  There was a bunch of underage grooming stuff that started coming out too.  I don't love all of his rambling nonsense style of humour but I do like it in smaller doses.

I didn't play the video game, but the premiere "The last of us" was interestingish.

I was thinking his daughter looks like a young thandie newton, looked her up, and yeah, makes sense.

As someone who considers TLOU easily one of the greatest games of all time I had super high expectations for the show, and episode one definitely met them for me. Hopefully it keeps up.

I enjoyed TLOU episode 1 also. I also am enjoying it being one episode a week.

On another note, after a slow start, Apple TV+ has really kicked on with a lot of really good original content now. I?d say potentially the highest ratio of good content of all the services

Any other Apple+ stuff sticking out for you? Obviously liking Ted Lasso but I'm also enjoying Acapulco and Mythic Quest.

I watched that twice! Dying for the next season but I'm also a bit nervous now that the cat sort of came out of the bag. Season 2 can't be as mysterious as Season 1.

As mentioned Severance is superb.

Echo 3 I?ve watched a couple of episodes of and I think is potentially going to be really good.

Slow Horses is fun, with a great cast headed up by a brilliant Gary Oldman.

Black Bird is a tough watch but again great performances.

Bad Sisters I?ve heard is very good.

Some of their documentaries have been superb - the recent Super League The War for Football one was great. Prehistoric Planet where they bring a load of dinosaurs back to life is class also and has turned my 4 year old into a dinosaur encyclopaedia and massive David Attenborough fan which is enough to make the subscription worthwhile.

Schmiggadoon

The Morning Show is also pretty good.

Not sure if anyone else was a fan of Netflix's F1 Documentary Series Drive to Survive but the same folks have a Tennis one now called Break Point which is really good as well.

There?s a PGA Tour golf one coming in a few weeks also!

Watched episode 2. I'm totally hooked. That was awesome.

In a contrast to all of the hockey stuff, what a great episode of TV with the Last of Us

Totally agree. Ep 3 was incredibly well done. I had no idea the series was going to be this good.

Check out HBO's Chernobyl too if you haven't already. HBO paired the guy behind that show (Craig Mazin) with the lead developer of the TLOU games (Neil Druckmann) to create/write this series.

One of the reasons I had sky-high expectations of this show (aside from just loving the games themselves) was having both of those guys in charge.
