The Apple TV app is available on select 2018, 2019, and 2020 Samsung smart TVs, Lifestyle TVs, QLED 4K and 8K TVs, and the Premiere projector. It is also available on Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon streaming devices. For a full list of compatible devices, check out Apple support. You do not even need to download it because it will appear in the Apps section on your TV.
Note: If the Apple TV or Apple Music app does not appear in apps, then it is not compatible with your TV.

And if you (or someone in your household) happen to have a subscription to Apple Music it might be worth getting their Apple One bundle. I was already paying $11.29 for Music and $1.46 for their 50gb cloud storage. So for another $3.20 a month I got their TV and Arcade subscriptions with the bundle.

Ted Lasso is definitely a hit (although I haven't watched it, I plan to) and I liked their Dickenson show (maybe not for everyone though). When I was going through their other stuff the other day nothing really jumped out at me.
Seems like there's a lot of stuff with big names attached currently being produced though.
