Cell Phones

I have a BBZ30 and wow what a piece of work. the company may be having its problems but this phone is great. all my pals that have tried it are very impressed, as am I. the iphone is a joke compared to it. I for one don't care about all the useless apps out there, so bbs lack of them don't bother me. all I need are the normal apps and we have them. if you have not tried a z30 then you don't know what your missing.

I ordered a Nexus 5 today.

You rock.

It should be here today.

So i'm weak.  After saying over and over i'd keep my nexus 4, I caved and got the $99 two-year Nexus 5 deal from Rogers.  Sold my Nexus 4 for $200.  Loving this new phone so far.

The screen on my nexus 4 broke like a week after I got it, I had been using the S3 before the nexus 5. The performance is noticeably better on this one for sure.

I"m thinking of getting this one too but Rogers wants $499 to buy it outright and google sells it for $349, but have to wait 4 weeks. Hmmm.

Props to Otterbox for its fast actions and shipment on my damaged case. All I had to do was goto their site and fill out my infomation, send in pictures of the damage (the site shows you how to take the pictures) and they send you a free replacement. They sent it through FedEx and it took 2 days in total from the time I sent my information to them, til the time I had a new case at my doorstep.

Well my work, being that they're two years behind the times, has switched us over to Iphone 4S's from Blackberry Torch's.

As much as the Torch was a piece of garbage for freezing, I can not believe how horrible the battery life is on the Iphone. Wow.

A couple of things that might help:

- lower the brightness on your phone to like half

and

- even when you close an app, it's still opened in the background. You have to double click the circle on the bottom and close the background apps. It does help on the battery life.

I have my brightness turned down to nil and I always close down my apps. I'm starting to wonder if it's the app my work has installed for security that's sucking the life out of the thing.

Plug it in all night and it's dead by dinner time now..
