Useless Thread

Threaten their families or bring a gun, that usually helps.

Perhaps airing your grievances more diplomatically would have helped?
That was my diplomatic side ;D no, but I'm a calm type, I don't yell, but I can be very honest, and I thought it was well-deserved.

I saw an idea on another forum that might be cool to try here, just thought I'd guage interest here before starting a thread.

The thread would be called the anonymous confessions thread.

Here's how it works. I want your dirtiest, most perverse, most shameful confessions(within reason on a family site). I want stuff that you haven't told ANYONE, things that would make your poor sweet grandmother regret every cookie she made your disgusting self. Or just something that you feel guilty or weird about that you'd like to get off of your chest.

You could send it to me, via an email I'll make up for this purpose (or PM it to me if you don't care if I know who it came from) and I will post it in the thread, completely anonymously.

If you don't want me to have your email address, set up a disposable gmail or hotmail or whatever to send me your story. No one will know who sent what, but we'll all get to laugh/puke/whatever else, to the strange confessions of the TMLFans poster.

Good idea, bad idea. what say you?

You know what - it's not such a bad idea ;)

Samsung Pays Apple $1 Billion Sending 30 Trucks Full of 5 Cents Coins

This morning more than 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple?s headquarters in California. Initially,  the security company that protects the facility said the trucks were in the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that  they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the South Korean company in this way.

;D

Well it was someone else's idea so Samsung definitely could be interested in ripping it off ;)

It occurred to me that it might be a hoax but I couldn't verify it and I thought it was amusing regardless.

I think the fact that the link itself lists the story as satire should probably be clue #1.

I had a car accident last august (2011), and after a year or physiotherapy not helping, they did a MRI and found an enlarged disc in my neck. It isn't serious enough to do surgery as it isn't putting any pressure on my spinal cord or nerves, but it is still causing me neck and shoulder issues. There is nothing else that can be done my doctor told me at my appt this afternoon. Its basically a chronic condition that I have to live with the rest of my life, unless it starts causing pressure on my spinal cord/nerves in my neck :/

Is this something my auto insurance will pay compensation for or am I SOL?

Who was at fault in the accident? If the other driver was at fault, you could go after them for compensation.

I sell cigarettes and lottery tickets (On the rare occasion I have a shift out in the Smoke shop area of the store, that is) and we're *supposed* to ID anyone who looks under 25. The reason for that is, the store gets fined $5000.00, and so too does the individual who actually sells to someone underage, along with losing their job.
I'm sorry, but I'm not risking that kind of money nor my continued employment just because someone's offended at being ID'd. In fact, if you say it right or with the right tone of voice, most people take it as a compliment that they look younger than they are. I ID'd a lady who turned out to be 35 one day. She looked not a day over 22-ish. She whipped out that ID so quickly and said I absolutely made her day thinking she was that young.

Don't you already have an injury claim open with your insurance company to pay for your physio?  It's with MPI right?  Any treatment you need is covered under your own policy.  I don't know what the time limit on it though, in Ontario it's 10 years of treatment.

If it's pain and suffering you're talking about because of the chronic condition, you'd have to sue any negligent party, so if it's a single vehicle accident hitting a deer there's no probably no one to sue.

Thanks Mission.

Yea just myself involved in the accident and an injury claim is open, but they will only pay for 24 physio appts, which I used up quite a while ago. They will do chiropractic(24 appts) and athletic therapy(40 appts) as well, guess that's the route to go.
