Agree. He didn't like names getting out from the Leafs side. We heard about Gio coming to the Leafs at the deadline and it still happened. I'm getting more onboard with Murray now, retained of course. I wonder, if it happens, who will be the tandem guy because I think they go that route.Zee said:

I think it really depends on whether you think Jack Campbell's 2021 season is a better representation of his play than 2022. Clearly when he is healthy he can be an elite goaltender. The problem is how easily he gets hurt that makes me not love him past those numbers.

Average back-up: $1mil+
Good back-up: $2mil+
1"B" goalie: $3mil+
1"A" goalie: $4mil+
Legit starter: $5mil+
Really good starter: $6mil+
Elite starter: $8mil+
Bobrovsky: $10mil
I'd pretty comfortably put Campbell in the 1A goalie slot, with health issues being the biggest thing holding him back from the legit starter category. So if a contending team desperate for goaltending wants to offer him $5mil I don't think it'd be the most outrageous signing in recent history.
