Newhook's rights for 31st and 37th picks... kind of interesting from Colorado's perspective (are they moving up in the draft?). They already have 27th.

Maybe, but Newhook is probably about as good as anyone they'd likely get with those picks, and he's a proven NHLer. Not a great deal, but not an awful one.

Yeah, I think this type of move for Montreal is worth the gamble.  22-year old with potential.  If you view him worth like a 20th to 25th overall type pick, trading the 37th along with the 31st to move up seems like a fair price.

Colorado makes trades that get the better out of both Montreal and Tampa AND likely closes the door on a potential ROR reunion there. I approve.

Newhook for Colton and a 1st is a tidy bit of work, for sure.
