It's crazy to think that Vancouver almost gave up what I imagine would have been at least a 1st rounder and one of their better prospects for OEL a few days ago. Now they give up just a 3rd rounder for a comparable player on a significantly better contract. They really lucked out.

Not really. That post is very misleading. Only Virtanen has arb rights and only him and Gaudette are NHLers. They won't have to dump too much to get them signed. Nobody significant anyway.
That Eriksson deal is horrible. What a mess for 2 more years.
